Leafs whitewash Islanders in Toronto, Justin Holl realizes a dream

Frederik Andersen was perfect in 28 shots, and the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the New York Islanders 5-0 on Wednesday night at the Air Canada Center.

It was a fourth shutout this season and a 14th career for the Danish goalkeeper.

At the other end of the ice, Thomas Greiss made 45 saves on 50 shots for the Islanders.

As for the Maple Leafs, Justin Holl and Travis Dermott each had a first goal in the league.

Holl was playing a first game in the NHL. It was only a few hours before the match that he had the call to move Marlies to the big club.

He was in his National League debut at 26, after 239 minor league games.

Auston Matthews, Kasperi Kapanen and Mitch Marner were the other goalscorers of Mike Babcock, who is undefeated in his last three games.
