Although the ongoing pandemic has been the reason for numerous sorrow and deaths across the world, it also caused many amusing situations and behaviours. But the world has become a lot better at fighting the SARS-CoV-2 virus, as several companies have developed vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, and so on.
We all know that most women like to look younger than they are. But the ongoing pandemic managed to change even that: some broads are dressing as ‘grannies’ in order to get vaccinated for COVID, according to abc7ny.com. You have already guessed the reason behind their wild idea: elders represent one of the groups of people that are the most vulnerable in the face of infection with the coronavirus, so the young gals wanted to speed things up a bit.
Florida women dressed as ‘grannies’
The two women were actually 34 and 44 years old, respectively. Dr. Raul Pino, who is the director of the Florida Department of Health from Orange County, said that the sneaky women arrived at a vaccination site with bonnets, gloves, and glasses but were turned away. The gals were coming for their second vaccine dose and even had valid vaccination cards from the first shot, according to Pino. The man also added that he doesn’t know how the women were able to go through the vaccination at the first dose.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office released a video of the two women after they got caught, and one officer said to them:
You know what you’ve done? You’ve stolen a vaccine from somebody who needs it more than you. And now you’re not going to get your second one. So that’s a whole waste of time we just wasted here on this.
Federal data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals that over 57 million vaccine doses were administered in the US.
