Our Solar System May Host Planet Nine

A predicted consequence of Planet Nine is that a second set of confined objects should also exist. These objects are forced into positions at right angles to Planet Nine and into orbits that are perpendicular to the plane of the solar system. The existence of Planet Nine has been speculated for years. Researchers are trying to find out exactly how it appeared and how exactly it manifests in relation to our solar system.

The characteristics of Planet Nine

Planet Nine is speculated to be a planet hidden on the edge of our solar system beyond Pluto but which is too dark and too distant for the human eye to perceive it. However, it manifests in an unusual manner. Regarding the size, it is estimated to be about 10 times the mass of Earth.

Study regarding its existence

A new study based on an asteroid called 2015 BP519 shows that there are nine planets in our solar system. This asteroid was found three years ago and used for research ever since. Researchers have noticed that its orbit is strangely influenced by an unknown and huge object.

Regarding the Planet Nine’s unusual influence, scientists have noticed that it has an oblique position from the orbit of other planets in the solar system. Its effects are analyzed by comparing the movement of objects that are supposedly affected by Planet Nine. They conducted various simulations of the solar system and when they added the Planet Nine’s characteristics, it met in fact all criteria. This gave scientists a more detailed explanation of how the asteroid could be influenced by Planet Nine. However, there’s still little to be known about this strange phenomenon.

Researchers would have a difficult task to carry even if Planet Nine is in fact hiding in our solar system. Due to the fact that it is too dark to see it, it would be difficult for them to study and identify it properly. There is still hope that in the future we will be able to find its exact position and observe it with telescopes.
