Future Battlefield, Need For Speed Games For The Following Two Years
In a recent report, Electronic Arts published an update on its upcoming titles. It confirmed that the forthcoming Battlefield and Need for Speed titles, developed by DICE and Criterion Games accordingly, will be released in 2022. However, CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that the future Battlefield will be released during the holiday season of 2021.
Both games will be released on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X with “at least” six new games programmed for release in 2022.
CEO Andrew Wilson claimed that the upcoming Need for Speed title “is bringing some astounding visual leaps, developed by the Criterion team, who have launched some of the most highly-rated games in franchise history.”
Regarding the following Battlefield title, he claimed that it will be designed at a “never-before-seen-scale.”
“The technical advancements of the new consoles are allowing the team to deliver on a true next-gen vision for the franchise. We have hands-on play testing underway internally, and the team’s been getting very positive feedback on the game as we’ve begun to engage our community.”
Extra details are expected to be released in Spring 2021, so we are still a few months away from the news.
Remastering A Classic
Meanwhile, Electronic Arts prepared Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remaster for the Xbox One, PC, and PS4. The Switch version will be introduced on November 13th.
Also, the company is prepping EA Play’s introduction on the Xbox Game Pass.
Titles for the service are momentarily available to load up and will be available starting from November 10th.
As you can see, game companies are working hard to improve their situation. The ongoing pandemic boosted up sales, as games use the same as before even during the lockdown.
