Google Warns That AI Chatbots Are Not So Reliable as We Might Think
After the ChatGPT AI tool has been occupying the front-row tech news in recent months, Google has also released its own app that does pretty much the same thing: Bard. The message seems clear: the world will be governed by a lot of AI-written content. While that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, the search engine boss of Google raises awareness of a possible issue.
Prabhakar Raghavan has spoken for Welt Am Sonntag about the dangers of using AI chatbots. As msn quotes, the man stated:
This kind of artificial intelligence that we are currently talking about can sometimes lead to something we call hallucination,
This is then expressed in such a way that a machine provides a convincing but completely fictitious answer.
An ad has shown that the Google Bard AI chatbot gave a false answer to a question regarding the James Webb Space Telescope of NASA. This is a clear indicator that AI chatbots are far from perfect, at least for now. However, the Artificial Intelligence technology is always evolving, and there’s no telling how much it can advance in the near future.
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is considered one of the most powerful space telescopes ever built. It has several features that make it much more capable than its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope. Some of the key capabilities of the JWST include:
Infrared Sensitivity: The JWST has a large sunshield that protects it from heat, allowing it to see in the infrared part of the spectrum with much greater sensitivity than previous telescopes. This makes it ideal for observing distant galaxies, stars, and exoplanets.
High-Resolution Imaging: The JWST has a much larger mirror than the Hubble, giving it the ability to produce high-resolution images of celestial objects with unprecedented detail.
Wide Field of View: The JWST has a field of view that is 100 times larger than that of the Hubble, allowing it to capture a much broader view of the cosmos.
Ability to Observe the Early Universe: The JWST’s ability to see in the infrared part of the spectrum makes it ideal for observing the early universe, including the formation of galaxies and stars.
Overall, the James Webb Space Telescope is considered a game-changer in the field of astronomy and has the potential to greatly enhance our understanding of the universe.
