SpaceX’s cargo mission with to the International Space Station as a destination had been postponed due to an electrical issue.
SpaceX’s two-stage Falcon 9 rocket was due to send off a computerized Dragon cargo capsule at 3.11 a.m EDT (07.11 GMT) on May 3rd, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

The Dragon cargo capsule had an electrical problem popping up at the very last moment, with the ocean stage needing to get back the first-stage booster after it launched.

The next liftoff is scheduled to happen on Saturday (May 4), at 2.48 a.m. EDT (06.48 GMT), and according to the Air Force’s 45th Weather Squadron, there is a percent of 70 for that day to have good weather so no more problems would occur.

SpaceX Dragon Capsule Launch Set for Early Saturday

The cargo shipment is at the moment a few days late already due to a space station power deficit that put off deliveries until a broke electrical box could be replaced. NASA finished and took care of the issue on Thursday.

When will be launched, and the Dragon capsule will have on board more than 5,500 lbs. (2,495 kilograms) of load, supplies for the crew, and research investigations for the International Space Station. One of the delivery is an experiment also known as the Photobioreactor. This experiment will analyze the development of microalgae to serve as food and also an oxygen source on the space station in the future.

The platform from which the Dragon cargo capsule will launch was placed 14 miles (22 kilometers) away from the shoreline. The new booster was assumed to return to the Air Force Station, but SpaceX is still cleaning the station from the April 20 incident when a crew Dragon capsule was destroyed while being ground tested. The agent of the blast is still unknown.

If the Dragon cargo capsule will not be ready to take off by Saturday, SpaceX will be forced to wait a week before its next attempt due to other operations already scheduled by the Air Force.
